How does this product work?

Grandpa Gus’s Bed Bug Killer spray is powered by plant-based essential oils. The main workhorses are Geraniol, Lemongrass Oil and Citronella Oil that work together for the most effective performance. These carefully balanced essential oils target the nervous systems of the insects to kill them.

How do I use this product?

SHAKE WELL before using. Spray product where bed bugs are found and normally occur. Use the SPRAY setting on the nozzle to apply the product to the seams, edges and tufts of the mattress, box spring, headboard, bed frame and other bedroom furniture. Use the STREAM nozzle setting for cracks and crevices: baseboards, behind headboard, wall hangings and carpet edges. Spray until damp, but not soaking. Allow product to dry before returning to the bedroom. Do not spray the entire mattress surface, box spring or the bedding. Repeat after 2 weeks if bed bugs persist.

What are the active ingredients?

Grandpa Gus's Insecticides use plant-based active ingredients. They are the essential oils Geraniol, Lemongrass Oil and Citronella Oil. The other active ingredient is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is sourced from Coconuts. It helps the other active ingredients do their job well.

The product is tested to kill bed bugs, Pyrethroid-Resistant bed bugs and bed bug eggs.

Where can I use the product?

The first place to use the Bed Bug Killer Spray is the bed. Remove all your bedding including a mattress cover. Wash all the bedding in the hottest water possible. Spray all the seams of the mattress, the tufts, around any buttons, and any nooks and crannies. Then spray the box spring or platform. Spray the bed frame, legs and headboard. Do not soak the mattress. If the bed bugs have spread, spray carpet edges, baseboards, around wall hangings, inside bedstands and even electrical outlets. You can also spray your luggage before and after a trip.

Is this product safe for use around kids?

Yes, Grandpa Gus's Bed Bug Killer Spray is safe to use around kids when used as directed. It has essential oils as active ingredients which the EPA has determined are "minimum risk pesticides." Children should not use this product and it should we stored about of reach of children. Children may re-enter a room after an application of the Bed Bug Killer has fully dried.
